Collider 7 [voxel] is the next iteration of our Collider exhibition series which will present works utilizing voxels, a computational 3D volume – think 3D pixel! The vision for this iteration of Collider is to showcase the vast use of digitally created 3D pieces. The works utilize 3D printing, interactive 3D point clouds, virtual reality, and Tiny Cinema – showcasing shorts on 3D printed sculptures with 96px by 64px video screens. Immerse yourself in exploring this world of 3D in Collider 7 [voxel]. Collider 7 took place in the Commons Gallery – University Art Galleries – University of Hawaii at Manoa.

COLLIDER6: DATA In the age of data being associated with government spying or commercial interests defining data, information and knowledge are very difficult. C6 makes no attempt at defining these words or commenting on the use. Instead C6 focuses on the artist, the designer, the message, the voice, the audience, the impact. C6 sets a stage to allow artists to define what and how data can inform or influence their work and our lives. The artist’s interpretation of data creates dialog providing us with a new shared experience. An experience of common knowledge, in turn translating to data, reversing the pattern of data building life to life building data. Life derives data.
