Skate Goofs, 2016, Khari Saffo – tinycinema

A short series of hand drawn animations displaying three characters skateboarding. The art style is kept loose to capture the energy of skating.

Artist Bio:

Khari Saffo, Founder and CEO of Khari Creates LLC currently resides in Honolulu, Hawaii and is interested in intertwining a business practice with an art practice. He invokes humor into all his work being influenced by the way comedians use humor to openly discuss serious issues. Khari’s art products have very loose and expression aesthetic. He is heavily influenced by American animation of the 1940’s. Also, when creating 3-D products, Khari works with inexpensive materials such as cardboard and melted vinyl records to keep his art products gestural and play with the hierarchy of value in the fine art realm. He has received a BA from Denison University in Granville, Ohio in 2015 and is currently in the Master of Fine Arts program at The University of Hawaii.
